We share the same family tree. I am you and you are me. We are two sides of identity. The one who faces things, The other who guides. We have our problems But we make up. We share the same space And that's enough To bring us back together After we break up. We're stuck in many different ways. I am your conscience, you are my acts. I am your advisor, you break the rules. I am your guilt, you say you don't care Until we're one again for a while. I am your reason, you're mystery. I am your vision, you're history. I am your light, you are my evenings Until we're one again for a while. We share the same family tree. I am you and you are me. We are two sides of identity. The one who faces things, The other who guides.

It takes more than one day to right away all the years of working on it. In the beginning there were no mistakes but that's how it all starts out. The rise of hope came out of the lies and smoke Burning from the wires that broke. Back to the corner of a dark room waiting for Monday to come. To restart the routine, to feel good about the contract that gives some use. The rise of hope came out of the lies and smoke Burning from the wires that broke.

The Remains 02:34
The walls are coming down and we sit and watch them fall. There's a hole up to the sky, no place to shelter now. We photograph to recall what's still there. The walls are coming down, red brickwork is crumbling. There are plans to replace, no space for what has been. We demonstrate to restore what's still there. The walls are coming down, nostalgia's suffering. The dust is rising on a new age coming in.

When he was alone, the things in his head Were shared with his friend by the name of the pen That he held in his hand. A loner by choice, not wanting to be a star. His voice was within and that was alright. That was just fine. One day in the park, a stranger approached With no story to tell, a simple request for an ear to be lent. Every day in the park, they'd sit and talk about all the things That he'd closed doors on to keep himself safe. When he found out the strangers secret. He spoke to his friend and agreed it was best To burn the bench on which they'd sat.
5.
I think about a lot of things Oh and that's true. I haven't seen enough to know And that's what brings me to you. You left me dry and out of my mind. I walked across some fields To try to recapture the sense. To escape the feeling of Running out of breath. But the fields of green meant nothing to me. As the saying goes Youth is a wasted gift. I'll only know the truth When I have the lack of it. When the pages run out and the ink runs dry, what will be left?
6.
He never had his eye on a modern car And it was no accident that he never lost heart. When the grades were poor and the doors were closed. The path he walked upon was not paved or clear. He travelled all around and slept on floor to floor. With a red guitar and a bag of clothes. He sang his heart for us to hear And gave out warmth for us to feel. As I looked on, I wish I could do the same.

A Talk 02:55
I had a talk to a friend who's now living far away. The connection was there, still strong I wouldn't have it any other way. She said we all have a price to pay for being here For being in this space. Mine was higher, it always is but that's just because it's me. But from afar, for those without much Mine is a luxury. So she said before she wished me well. Signing out before she went to bed. I pick up when I feel more because I'm falling back to you. Things add up when they could subtract because I've dropped my claims on you.

On The Ice 02:43
On the ice we can skate To the other side, to an escape. Underneath the frozen flow Is the place where the helpless go. As the ice begins to crack You move faster on your feet. I don't know which way to go. To the other side or somewhere safe. You call out for me. I'm still by your side But the harder you cry The more I want to hide. In between us, trouble grows. In between us, the ice break builds.
9.
Colours 02:10
From the other side it looks like black is the colour that you choose. Safe in your place without the chance for something more. All I want for you is to be happy in your ways. This is not about me, although my colour's blue. This is about what I want for you. Because when you shared your mind and your desires I felt something more. I felt that I cared for all that you do. All I want for you is to be happy in your ways.

Two in the morning, dead tired and fading. He wants something to happen, engines sounds and a bright light. The silence is loud, alone with a view of a bright-lit screen. Three in the morning, apartment lights have gone out From the view through the window. The next day will dawn soon. The next pattern will follow through. The silence is loud, alone with a view of a bright-lit screen.
